A trading platform, built from zero

Context

A European venture in the crypto-trading space needed its entire customer-facing platform built. The product was the platform — and nothing existed yet.

"Platform" meant far more than a shop: wallets, market data, payments, compliance and a partner program all had to exist before the first customer could be served.

Challenge

Full scope, one small team: account and customer management, product and order logic, real-time market data, internal administration — all of it had to be designed coherently and reach production fast enough to keep the business moving.

And it had to hold up operationally: real money, real compliance obligations, and a business model built on a multi-level partner network whose commissions had to be calculated correctly, every single time.

What we built

We architected and built the platform end to end on Laravel and MySQL — from the data model and the payment flows through real-time updates over Pusher WebSockets to the admin tooling that runs the operation.

The customer side grew into a full product: multi-currency wallets with deposits, withdrawals and swaps; a marketplace with checkout across more than a dozen payment gateways; KYC verification and two-factor authentication; and a partner area with team structure, turnover and commission tracking.

Behind it sits the operation: admin portals for orders, payouts and client management with full audit logging, queued jobs for interest accrual, commission runs and automated fulfilment via exchange integrations — and, as the business grew, separate portals for investors and advisors.

Outcome

The platform went from concept to production and has been operating live with real customers since — still on the architecture it started with.

What began as one web application became five portals — clients, admin, investors, advisors and payments — on a single coherent domain model of 85 entities.
